TabControl.OnEnter(EventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the Enter event of the TabControl.

protected:
 override void OnEnter(EventArgs ^ e);
protected public:
 override void OnEnter(EventArgs ^ e);
protected override void OnEnter(EventArgs e);
protected internal override void OnEnter(EventArgs e);
override this.OnEnter : EventArgs -> unit
Protected Overrides Sub OnEnter (e As EventArgs)
Protected Friend Overrides Sub OnEnter (e As EventArgs)

Parameters

e
EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

This method also raises the Enter event of the current TabPage. The tab is considered part of the tab page for determining when the Enter and Leave events of the TabPage occur.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnEnter method also enables derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnEnter(EventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnEnter(EventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
