News: Creating Response Groups in Lync PowerShell

Today is a sad day in the lives of the writers of this blog site. One of us has completely lost his or her mind. (We don't want to give away which one - we're betting no one will notice anyway.) We sat down to write this blog post introducing a new article with a couple of scripts that will be incredibly useful to a lot of people, and we had no idea how to do that. It's a good article too, you should read it. Especially if you're going to be managing Response Groups in Lync Server 2010, since that's what the article is about. The article is even written by the ultimate expert on the topic: Frédéric Dubut, Program Manager responsible for the Response Group application.

But, as we said, one of us has lost his or her mind, so we won't be introducing this article to you. We'll just ask you to go read it - like we said, it's good. And it wasn't written by either one of us (definitely not the one with the lost mind).

Oh yeah, you probably need to know where it is. (Did we mention we've lost a mind?) Here you go:

Creating Your First Response Group Using Lync Server Management Shell

The article walks you through creating a Response Group for a hunt group and for an interactive voice response (IVR) case. If you'd like to see just the complete scripts without the detailed explanation, you can find them here (at least we hope so):

In the meantime, please let us know if you find an extra mind wandering around somewhere, we'd kind of like it back. Thank you.
