New Name: Introducing Windows PowerShell for Microsoft Lync Server 2010

The product formerly known as Microsoft Communications Server "14" is now and forever to be known as Microsoft Lync Server 2010. And, more importantly, the Communications Server "14" PowerShell blog is now the Lync Server 2010 PowerShell blog. Same great blog, same great ___location, even more great content.

Wait a minute, what? Someone said it's not great content? Who said that?

Oh. Well, at least no one can deny that it is content. And there is more, at least more today than there was yesterday.

To find out all about the new name and how it does (or does not) impact the Windows PowerShell implementation of the product, read Introducing Windows PowerShell for Microsoft Lync Server 2010. And check out the 21 Reasons to Use Windows PowerShell to Manage Lync Server 2010 .

Then browse through the rest of the Highlights on our Lync Server 2010 PowerShell Home Page to see what else is new.

One more thing: Did we happen to mention that along with the new name comes a public Release Candidate ? Yeah, we thought you'd be interested in that part. This - at last! - gives you the chance to download and start learning how to use the software. Not to mention the opportunity try out all these PowerShell commands we've been writing about for the past couple months.

That's fine: go ahead and do a little dance for joy. It's a big day for all of us!
