Description
The Remove-VMSavedState cmdlet deletes the saved state of a saved virtual machine. Note: data contained in the memory of the virtual machine may be lost; data on its virtual hard disk drives are unaffected.
Examples
Example 1
PS C:\> Remove-VMSavedState TestVM
Removes the saved state from virtual machine TestVM.
Example 2
PS C:\> Get-VMSnapshot TestVM | Remove-VMSavedState
Removes the saved state from all snapshots belonging to virtual machine TestVM.
Parameters
-CimSession
Runs the cmdlet in a remote session or on a remote computer. Enter a computer name or a session object, such as the output of a New-CimSession or Get-CimSession cmdlet. The default is the current session on the local computer.
