The Enable-VMSwitchExtension cmdlet enables one or more extensions on one or more switches.
You can use the Get-VMSystemSwitchExtension cmdlet to enumerate the virtual switch extensions installed on the system.

Enables WFP ("Microsoft Windows Filtering Platform") on a virtual switch named External.
