Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) シンジケーションサービスを開発する場合は、次のクラスを使用してフィードとアイテムを作成します。

SyndicationFeedは、フォーマッタが定義されている任意のシンジケーション形式にシリアル化できます。 WCF には、 Atom10FeedFormatter と Rss20FeedFormatterの 2 つのフォーマッタが付属しています。

SyndicationFeedとSyndicationItemに関するオブジェクトモデルは、RSS 2.0 仕様よりも Atom 1.0 仕様と密接に連携しています。これは、Atom 1.0 は、RSS 2.0 仕様からあいまいまたは省略された要素を定義する、より実質的な仕様であるためです。このため、WCF シンジケーションオブジェクトモデルの多くの項目は、RSS 2.0 仕様では直接表現されません。 SyndicationFeedオブジェクトとSyndicationItemオブジェクトを RSS 2.0 にシリアル化する場合、WCF では Atom 固有のデータ要素を Atom 仕様に準拠する名前空間修飾拡張要素としてシリアル化できます。これは、 Rss20FeedFormatter コンストラクターに渡されるパラメーターを使用して制御できます。
