ProjectRootElement.CreateMetadataElement Method (String, String)

Creates a metadata node with the specified name and value.

MSBuild is now included in Visual Studio instead of the .NET Framework. You can use MSBuild 12.0 side-by-side with versions previously deployed with the .NET Framework.For more information, see What's New in MSBuild 12.0.

Parameters

  • unevaluatedValue
    Type: System.String

    The value of the metadata.

Return Value

Type: Microsoft.Build.Construction.ProjectMetadataElement
Returns the metadata element.

Remarks

Caller must add the metadata node to the ___location of choice in the project.
