ExecuteSql.GetDataReader Method (String, SqlCommand%)

Do not reference this member directly in your code. It supports the SQL Server infrastructure. Gets a data reader to execute the specified Transact-SQL statements, and specifying a SqlCommand object that can be used to terminate a long-running query.

Parameters

• query
  Type: System.String
  A String value specifying the Transact-SQL statements to run.

• command
  Type: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand%
  A SqlCommand object to use for terminating the reader if the query runs for too long a time.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader
A SqlDataReader object that can be used to process the result sets returned by the Transact-SQL statements.
