Specifies the settings for Basic authentication for an FTP server.

Syntax

The following sections describe attributes, child elements, and parent elements for this section.

defaultLogonDomain

Optional string attribute.

Specifies the default ___domain for Basic authentication user account lookups.

The default value is NT AUTHORITY.

enabled

Optional Boolean attribute.

Specifies whether Basic authentication is enabled.

The default value is false.

logonMethod

Optional enum attribute.

Specifies the logon type for the user account that is logging in as interpreted by the LogonUser Win32 API.

Value	Description
Interactive	Specifies the interactive logon type. The numeric value is 0.
Batch	Specifies the batch logon type. The numeric value is 1.
Network	Specifies the network logon type. The numeric value is 2.
ClearText	Specifies the clear text logon type.The numeric value is 3.

The default value is ClearText.

system.applicationHost	Specifies the root element for configuring Web process settings.
sites	Defines all sites on the server, and all applications and virtual directories in those sites.
site	Specifies configuration settings for a site.

security	Specifies the site-level security options for an FTP site.
authentication	Specifies the site-level authentication settings for an FTP site.
