Inventory Posting Setup Table

Contains information about the setup of postings of inventory to G/L.

In this table, you can create links between inventory posting groups, inventory locations, and G/L accounts: In this way, when you post entries concerning an item, the program will post to the G/L account that is set up for the combination of inventory posting group and ___location that is linked to the item.

When you enter an inventory posting group code in the Inventory Posting Group field on each item card, information about posting will automatically follow, depending on what combinations you set up in this table.

You can use the same G/L account numbers or different account numbers for each combination of posting group and ___location.

Note

You must first set up the chart of accounts with the inventory accounts that you want to post to in the G/L Account table before you can set up inventory posting.
