You can start, stop, or restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service by using Server Manager. If you must stop the AOS service on a production server, we recommend that you perform the procedure during off-peak hours to avoid dropped connections for clients and databases.
Click Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager.
Expand Configuration, and then click Services.
In the details pane, select Microsoft Dynamics AX Object Server 6.0$ InstanceName, and then click Start, Stop, or Restart.
