GetUser Method (String, Boolean)

Gets information from the data source for a user based on the name for the membership user. Provides an option to update the last activity date/time stamp for the user.

Parameters

username
Type: System..::.String
The name of the user to get information for.

userIsOnline
Type: System..::.Boolean
true to update the last activity date/time stamp for the user; false to return user information without updating the last activity date/time stamp for the user.

Return Value

Type: System.Web.Security..::.MembershipUser
A System.Web.Security.MembershipUser object populated with the specified user's information from the data source.

Exceptions

Exception	Condition
ArgumentNullException	username is nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Returns a System.Web.Security.MembershipUser object populated with the specified user's information from the data source.
