This section provides instructions for changing the filters in a Web content project. Filters let you include specific files and directories in the staging process. When you include a file, Commerce Server Staging (CSS) also includes its parent directory.
Filters also let you exclude files and directories from the staging process. When you exclude a directory, CSS excludes all files in that directory and subdirectories.
If you include a filter that is not valid, CSS does not include any content. For example, if you add a filter to include a local directory that does not exist, CSS does not stage any content in the local directory.
