Within the Windows Azure Pack management portal for administrators, the Quick Start page is used to register new resource providers, for example, Microsoft SQL Server.

Design Considerations

The following considerations should be taken into account:

  1. The Quick Start page link should be the blue cloud with the lightning bolt image.

  2. The central image should be a larger version of the resource provider image in the left hand pane.

  3. Provide a Skip Quick Start next time I visit? check box.

  4. The information section should be titled with the following styles

    • font-size: 32px;

    • margin-bottom: 6px;

    • margin-top: 26px;

    • font-family: "Segoe UI";

    • font-weight: normal;

  5. Use a maximum of one or two short sentences to describe the resource provider. Use bullet points if more than one sentence is needed.

  6. Provide links to install, register, or upgrade. If a task is not currently available, use gray text.
