Move-AzureVirtualNetwork

Migrates a virtual network to the Azure Resource Manager stack.

Note

The cmdlets referenced in this documentation are for managing legacy Azure resources that use Azure Service Manager (ASM) APIs. This legacy PowerShell module isn't recommended when creating new resources since ASM is scheduled for retirement. For more information, see Azure Service Manager retirement.

The Az PowerShell module is the recommended PowerShell module for managing Azure Resource Manager (ARM) resources with PowerShell.

Examples

Example 1: Prepare virtual network migration

PS C:\> Move-AzureVirtualNetwork -Prepare -VirtualNetworkName "ContosoVNET"

This command prepares the virtual network named ContosoVNET for migration to the Azure Resource Manager stack.

Example 2: Start virtual network migration

PS C:\> Move-AzureVirtualNetwork -Commit -VirtualNetworkName "ContosoVNET"

This command starts migration of the virtual network named ContosoVNET to the Azure Resource Manager stack.

Example 3: Validate virtual network migration

PS C:\> Move-AzureVirtualNetwork -Validate -VirtualNetworkName "ContosoVNET"

This command validates migration for the virtual network named ContosoVNET to the Azure Resource Manager stack.
