Let me be different and start by what I don't plan to do on this blog:
- Post my resume in C.S. Lewis style - Let me go directly into the interesting part and talk about what I think is cool stuff.
- No PR/marketing talk - I'm not a marketing kind of guy (think less Commander Riker and more Mr. Scotty [okay, okay, Lt. Barkley is more like it]), so forgive me if I don't use words like synergy, win-win, core business, etc.
Laughs aside, the reason why I created this blog was very simple: I couldn’t find any blogs out there about some of the things I see around here, such as what’s going on with Microsoft Access (and what'll go on with it going forward) and other stuff. And that’s what I want to talk about.

You have been assimulated (sp?) ;)
Seriously though great to finally see an Access blog.
Care to explain the name of the blog (I know it's a borg thing, but why that), no subtle joke to slashdot's Microsoft category image? - Anonymous

Robert, actually there is another Access blog from our development manager [http://blogs.msdn.com/andrewrmiller], but he takes on so much stuff that I'm not surprised that he can only post sporadically.
"Third Of Five" comes from the ST:TNG episode called "I, Borg" [http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/I%2C_Borg]. And yep, it's tongue-in-cheek on Microsoft's borg image. - Anonymous

It would be a shame to miss noting this blog's first birthday. Or at least it's first post's first birthday....
