SP2013 - How to determine the id of your Result Source for setting the SourceId query parameter ?

Hi Search Enthusiasts !

One question I had the other day was how to determine the id of a Result Source so it could be set in the SourceId query parameter.

Specifies the identifier (ID) of the result source to be used to run the query.

There are few ways but the easiest for me is to go the CA / SSA / Manage Result Sources

* Click the Result Source you would like the id from (click like for editing it).

* Copy the browser URL

* Paste it there to decode it https://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/

* Note the SourceId parameter value and use it for querying.
