CSI (Computer society of India) is one of the oldest communities in India, I was privileged to be part of CSI Coimbatore's August event.
The community comprises of people from Academia, professionals from local tech industry, and students, the mix is quite even; you don't get to mingle so easily with so many PhDs in one room :), they even have their own office!

I was giving a session about Azure on open source, as it turns out there were quite a good chunk of people who were OSS enthusiasts like me, the session was success and Q&A session was pretty good as well.
