Hi there,

We've been accepted onto the Azure Sponsorship programme for quite some time now and we are building our software. A large part of our functionality uses GPT-Image-1, and so we applied for access around 20 days ago, no reply, and i still applied again still no reply yet. We haven't heard anything back on our application. this is getting stressful i also sent a direct email to "csgate@microsoft.com" 1 week ago still not response

Please could someone from Microsoft or Azure help us to resolve this?

Your commitment and proactive follow-ups, including reapplying and reaching out via email to [csgate@microsoft.com], show how invested you are in moving forward, and it's unfortunate that you haven’t received a response yet.

Currently, access to GPT-Image-1 through Azure OpenAI is gated and limited to customers with either an Enterprise Agreement (EA) or Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA-E), and who have spent over $1000 in Azure OpenAI usage in the previous month. Azure Sponsorship subscriptions, while incredibly valuable for startups and innovation, are not eligible for EA upgrades, which is likely the reason your application hasn’t progressed. This limitation has been confirmed by Microsoft representatives such as Jonathan Tanner and Clea El Murr, who clarified that GPT-Image-1 is in public preview but access is restricted to qualifying customers.

I recommend submitting a support request via the Support RequestAnd SupportBlade, clearly outlining your use case, application ID, and Azure Sponsorship status. Additionally, you may reach out to the Azure Sales team directly through this contact form to explore alternative paths or potential workarounds.
