Production Copilot

In December 2024, we launched the Insights Hub Production Copilot. The initial release allowed customers to utilize generative AI in a chat window to ask questions about information contained in documents stored in the Insights Hub Integrated Data Lake (IDL).

Now, substantial additional capabilities have been added to the Insights Hub Production Copilot:

  • Enhanced agentic capabilities make document-based question answering more performing and user friendly.
  • Pre-built Data Exploration and Analysis agents allow the Copilot to answer questions of users about data e.g. about correlations of different timeseries signals or the trending of data.
  • With Copilot Studio, ___domain experts can create and customize their own AI agents to meet their specific requirements without needing deep technical skills.
  • Agents can access all Insights Hub data via skills - and it is even possible to create own skills with Visual Flow Creator and use them in Copilot Studio

You'll find three ready-to-use pre-built agents here.

All subscribers of the Insights Hub Standard and Advanced Capability Packages will automatically receive these new capabilities incl. a quota of hourly and monthly prompts. Details on the use of the Insights Hub Production Copilot can be found in the product documentation.

Insights Hub Monitor

  • Production Copilot integration

    • The advanced agentic chat of the Production Copilot is now seamlessly integrated into Monitor for all tenants with Standard and Advanced Capability packages.
    • You'll find three ready-to-use pre-built agents available via a dropdown in the chat. Plus, ___domain experts can create custom agents in Copilot Studio and enable them specifically for Monitor.
    • We've extended the settings to allow the Copilot chat to understand your application context. This means it can now automatically leverage information from your current view, such as selected assets, variables, and time ranges. You can ask questions in natural language without needing to manually input all the metadata!
  • Improved Time Picker Navigation:
The time picker now offers the ability to easily toggle your selected time range into the past or future. This makes navigating between days or weeks and comparing values much simpler and more intuitive.

  • Simplified Create Case Dialog:
We've streamlined the Create Case dialog by reducing the number of required fields, making it quicker and easier to log new cases.

Additional Info

This release consolidates a range of critical updates and enhancements across our platform services. Key areas of focus include:

  • Security Enhancements: Addressing multiple CVEs across core services (e.g., a9s Service Dashboard, a9s-pg, a9s PostgreSQL, a9s Elasticsearch, a9s LogMe) to significantly improve the platform's security posture.
  • Improved Backup Visibility: Introducing a "Started At" column in the a9s Service Dashboard backup panel and integrating started_at timestamps into the a9s Backup Manager and Public API, providing clearer insights into backup processes.
  • Service Fine-Tuning: Adding custom parameters (maxmemory, repl-backlog-size, min-replicas-to-write, min-replicas-max-lag) for a9s KeyValue service instances, enabling greater control and optimization.
  • Platform Stability & Performance: Updating numerous core dependencies (e.g., NodeJS, Nginx, Logstash 8, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, RabbitMQ) and the BOSH stemcell, along with various bug fixes (e.g., OpenSearch restore wait times), to ensure a robust and efficient platform.
  • Documentation & Operational Refinements: Updating documentation and Ops files to reflect changes, clarify configurations, and improve overall operational clarity.
  • Upcoming Deprecation Notice: Informing users about the planned deprecation of a9s PostgreSQL 13, guiding them towards migration to newer, supported versions (a9s PostgreSQL 15 and 17).

Cloud Foundry Decommissioning

What’s happening
  • We are decommissioning our Cloud Foundry platform in a phased approach.
  • This process will continue through December 31, 2025, at which point the platform will be fully shut down.
Why it’s happening
  • We are retiring Cloud Foundry as part of our infrastructure optimization and migration strategy.
  • Every customer had been notified about the deadline and are expected to migrate their applications to the new hosting environment.
Impact
  • Any org not migrated and backed up by the start of its deletion phase will have its applications and data removed permanently.
What you need to do
  • Migrate your applications off Cloud Foundry to your chosen environment as soon as possible
  • Export and verify backups of all application data—no data will remain accessible after deletion.
  • Update any external integrations, DNS entries, or scripts that reference your Cloud Foundry orgs.
Support & resources
  • Migration guide and step-by-step instructions: Guidelines to migrate Cloud Foundry applications.
  • Backup/export procedures: Decrypt Backing Service Backup - Developer Documentation

Energy Optimizer

What's new?

  • With this release, we provide the following:
    • The accuracy results of both energy and reference models are now displayed on the "Model" card.
    • The analysis of the feature importances for the reference model are displayed in the "Training Board".
    • When running an optimization, you can now implement constraints on the reference variable. This will enable the process expert to set realistic limits for their process.
    • The user defined name of the Energy Resource and Reference variables are displayed on the optimization chart.
    • It is now possible to remove the previous optimization and prediction result and parameter settings by clicking on the reset button on the Process Optimization view.
